Trace's Challenge

"Kids are why we're here. I don't always feel like I have the resources, I don't always feel like I have the time, but if someone asks, I find a way.

I challenge each and every one of you to find a way."

What Mentorship Really Looks Like

Here’s what effective mentorship truly entails:

Simple Activities

Playing games, sharing meals, talking about school, or just listening. The magic happens in ordinary moments when a child feels truly heard and valued.

Consistent Presence

Being there regularly, showing up when you say you will, and demonstrating that this child matters to you. Reliability builds trust and security.

Authentic Connection

You don't need special training or expertise. Children need genuine adults who care about their thoughts, dreams, and daily experiences.

"You don't have to be perfect—you just have to be present."
